Texturing the treasure chest took some time to get right for me. I found it hard to find a wood texture that was the colour I wanted and easy enough to replicate or paint over and to manipulate. The one I went with in the end was pleasing enough and went well with the yellow I chose for the gold parts of the chest.
In all the texturing took me around five to six hours an which includes the specularity map as well as a bump map that eventually deleted as it did not work for me in the end. The texture map doesn't look very neat overall but it works within the UV map and the chest itself turned out how I wanted it.
